Abstract

After tracing the aspects of globalization, a complex, dynamic and contradictory process, we would like to underline that its essential elements relate to a synchronic implication of unity and diversity. We will analyze the importance of communication in facilitating collaboration, understanding, and social harmony. The central claim is that regardless of what it follows – the ontological commitment of political discourse, the recognition of the specific, or of the difference, compliance with and preservation of diversity, but also of partnership relationships –, humanity cannot survive without, and is not incompatible with the political unity of a country.
